Mr. Michael Jones

Michael Jones was born and raised in Tyler, Texas, where he graduated from john Tyler HS. Jones went on to gain his undergraduate degree from Rice University in Houston and obtained his Master of Educational Administration degree from Prairie View A&M University.

Mr. Jones began his educational career as a teacher and coach in Mineola, Texas, in 1998. He then returned to his high school alma mater and taught at John Tyler HS for three years. In 2002, Jones transitioned to Dallas ISD as a teacher and coach at David W. Carter HS. In his 25th year as an educator and his 21st in Dallas ISD, he has served as the Principal of Elisha M. Pease Elementary, the P-Tech Administrator at David W. Carter HS, Assistant Principal at Molina HS, South Oak Cliff HS, Sunset HS, Oliver Wendell Homes MS, Quintanilla MS, and most recently served as Principal Resident at North Dallas HS.

Jones has been a passionate leader for the students of Dallas for over twenty years. His mission is to share his experiences and passion for education with his students to provide them with their own experiences so they can excel and be change agents for their communities.
