Mrs. Maria Solis

Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Mrs. Solis was born to immigrant parents and was the first to graduate high school in her family. She is a proud graduate of South Oak Cliff High School, home of the 2022 and 2023 state champions. She joined the National Guard at the young age of 17 and was honorably discharged after 6 years of service. She's worked in Dallas ISD for 17 years and counting. She enjoys working for Dallas ISD because of all the opportunities they have to offer. 

Mrs. Solis has been happily married for over 25 years to her middle school sweetheart. They have three beautiful children, two daughters and a son, with whom they love spending family time when they can get it. Their children are all graduated and living their best life. Their youngest daughter is attending Texas State University and will graduate in 2025! Mrs. Solis' favorite pastime is watching movies and shows with her husband. She also tries to squeeze in cardio at her favorite spot, Cedar Ridge Preserve. She's a Dallas Cowboys fan and loves going to football games. She loves to travel, and her favorite place for a relaxing vacation is Cancun!
