Ms. Thuy Nguyen

Ms. Thuy Nguyen was born in Vietnam, where she lived 8 years without many basic comforts such as running water and electricity. Luckily, the Humanitarian Operation in 1992 allowed her family to escape their situation by moving to New York to start a new life. Fast forward 16 years and Ms. Nguyen graduated with her Master’s in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia and later moved to Florida to begin her teaching career. It did not take long for her to realize that teaching was something that she could do for the rest of her life. She moved to Texas in 2011 and taught at Emmett J. Conrad High School for 6.5 years, and is now happy to be a part of the Law Magnet at Townview.
