Ms. Dana Opitz

Dana Opitz is a Dallas, Texas native and graduated from Duncanville High School.  She received her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida in 2004, and has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2007.  Her practice has focused primarily in the areas of civil litigation, mediation and multi-state oil and gas title examination.  Upon becoming licensed to practice law, she joined the energy department of a Dallas law firm, where she focused on the drafting of title opinions for developers operating in the Barnett Shale.  Ms. Opitz later turned her focus to litigation, spending years representing major banking institutions in both Texas and Florida.  Most recently, Ms. Opitz has worked as a solo practitioner, handling a multitude of civil matters, including creditor/debtor litigation, family law, wills and trusts, and contracts and operating agreements for local businesses.

In her free time, Ms. Opitz loves to travel to beaches, cook, read, and camp out on the couch watching football with her rescue pets Layla, PK, and Brady.
